+Having kicked off a civil war in the Labour Party, Sir Keir has now told Sky News that there’s no need for one since one of his key tasks is to unite the party. Is this some sort of lawyer’s speak? It’s hard to believe that he has yet to move on from being the Director if Public Prosecutions. And this is the man who according to one sycophantic MP ‘wrote the book on human rights law.’
+Maybe the Guardian knows something we don’t. Its editorial this morning referred to Starmer five times as Mr Starmer. +Also quoted on Sky News was a chap from the Jewish Labour Movement making it very clear that they and other groups were now intent on pressing home their advantage. Indeed one group has sent in a sheaf of complaints about MPs and others it accuses of anti-Semitism, including possibly the most racially and gender abused politician in the UK, Diane Abbott. So much for displaying ‘sensitivity.’ +According to the Evening Standard, an IPSOS/MORI poll now shows Labour pulling five points ahead of the Tories. The timing is purely coincidental of course. And it will only boost the cultivation of Starmer’s ‘tough man’ image. The inevitable dropping of any ‘investigation’ into Corbyn will have to be performed very discreetly.
