My take on the state of climate change politics as they were in 2009. I'm not sure that much has changed. Some good signs of progress exist, but I fear that these may still be the somewhat surprising and sometimes accidental results of actions which do not go far enough. The Paris agreement of 2016 still allows as much flexibility as nation states wish, when what is needed is an agreement based on the Contraction and Convergence model. Check out the Global Commons Institute on that.

A history of Tory funding from the turn of the last century until the party's defeat in 1997. The subsequent 18 years or so would fill another book. And still the shadow of Maundy Gregory can be detected - a shadow which has oft shrouded party funding across the spectrum. Who was Maundy Gregory? Read the book!

A tradition of dirty tricks has long been associated with the oldest of UK political parties. The Conservatives have been both admired and reviled for their ruthless ability to hold on to power. In Defence of the Party is an introductory history of the least palatable and unremarked aspects of Conservatism.

Once upon a time it took a bit of effort to be 'alternative.' Cut and paste. Typesetting. Printing. Distributing. Selling (or giving away). Oh, and writing more than 140 characters.
