Why should we be bothered about the poor judgement of people appointed to high ranking positions? Well, we shouldn’t because our role is merely to look up to them without question. That at least appears to be the attitude of Lord Mandelson (him again). This appeared in the Independent (original story in the Financial Times but that’s behind a paywall):
‘The peer’s past has come under scrutiny, including his friendship with Epstein who died in prison in 2019. In an interview with the Financial Times, Lord Mandelson said: “I regret ever meeting him or being introduced to him by his partner  Ghislaine Maxwell. I regret even more the hurt he caused to many young women.” He went on to add: “I’m not going to go into this. It’s an FT obsession and frankly you can all f*** off. OK?”’

I wonder if Mandy is still mates with Randy Andy, or is he another friend who’s been dropped like a hot cake? No wonder Mandy was chosen to be our ambassador to the U.S.– he’s a perfect match for Trump whose bromance with Elon Musk everybody predicts will end in tears as soon as he’s served his master’s purpose. And then it’ll be ‘I barely knew him.’
